AKA Roxy

Roxy is an all in kind of dog. When she commits to doing something, it gets done, and it gets done 110%. She has a wonderful work ethic, but also comes with a fantastic off switch. She is able to come home and relax around the house when needed. She's very food motivated, and has a very nice training attitude. She shapes very well, and is always eager to learn new behaviors. She naturally has great foot awareness (which isn't common as a natural behavior) and also is aware of her size and how to use it to the best of her abilities. Agility training is an absolute dream with her. She prefers the faster paced sports, to rally and obedience, but will still perform anything I ask of her. Roxy has her Canine Good Citizen title, AKC STAR puppy award, a Novice Trick Dog title, A Canine Good Citizen Advanced title, A Canine Good Citizen Urban title, and A Trick Dog Intermediate title. Our plans are to get into any and every sport we can get our hands on, but to name a few we have interest in it would be; nosework, dock diving, agility, rally, fast cats, obedience, and barn hunt.

Roxy helps contribute to Darwin’s Ark, to combine genetics and behavior to advance the understanding of complex diseases.

Roxy is part of the Dog Aging Project to understand how genes, lifestyle, and environment influence aging. They want to use that information to help dogs and people increase health span, the period of life spent free from disease.

Roxy is enrolled in the AKC Pup Pals Program. The AKC PupPals Program seeks to provide children with a note from a canine friend just when they need it most.
