Katara helps contribute to Darwin’s Ark, to combine genetics and behavior to advance the understanding of complex diseases.

Katara volunteered to help the Dog Aging Project to understand how genes, lifestyle, and environment influence aging. They want to use that information to help dogs and people increase health span, the period of life spent free from disease.

Katara is enrolled in the AKC Pup Pals Program. The AKC PupPals Program seeks to provide children with a note from a canine friend just when they need it most.
